As a strategic buyer of technical raw materials, you ensure that our production is always optimally supplied. In addition, you support our product development in the creation of innovative products and services. Qualifications and skills ## • Bachelor's or Master's degree (FH/Uni) as well as specific training in purchasing (e.g., purchasing specialist, purchasing manager) • 3 years of experience in strategic purchasing in industry, ideally in the procurement of plastics, adhesives, paper or similar materials • Very good knowledge of German, both oral and written (C1 level) as well as good knowledge of English (at least B2 level) • Very good ERP knowledge and particular interest in digital purchasing as well as the use of electronic tools and generative AI • Availability for travel of approximately 20% (supplier and factory visits) • Strong communication and negotiation skills with a professional presentation and clear expression • Excellent self-organization and reliability, structured way of working • High resilience, stress resistance and ability to manage conflicts, acting with confidence in demanding negotiation situations About the position ## You are responsible for the strategic purchasing of defined commodity groups for raw materials and semi-finished products such as chemicals, plastics, adhesives or paper products. You develop and implement procurement strategies, conduct price and quantity negotiations, draw up contracts and ensure security of supply. You monitor international raw material markets, analyze their impacts and exploit global trends to the benefit of SIGA. You work closely with operational purchasing, quality management and product development to best support our key processes. In addition, you continuously optimize our purchasing concept, maintain supplier relationships and participate actively as a key user in the evolution of our SRM software. Regular visits to suppliers as well as the targeted preparation of market information for internal stakeholders complete your varied field of activity.
