Head of Finance Controlling The Interkantonale Hochschule für Heilpädagogik (HfH) is the leading competence center for remedial and special education and has around 2'200 students. It offers a comprehensive range in the areas of education, continuing education, research & development. The Finance Controlling department ensures that the university is managed in a financially reliable manner and that the various organizational units have meaningful bases for planning and decisions. For this responsible position, we have been commissioned to search for a committed and competent personality as Head of Finance Controlling 80 - 100% In this function, you will lead a well-coordinated team of five employees and bear overall responsibility for proper and efficient accounting. You are responsible for the general and subsidiary ledgers, interim and annual financial statements, cost accounting, cash management, as well as VAT and subsidy settlements. You also supervise the internal control system and work closely with the auditing body. Furthermore, you manage the planning, budgeting, controlling and reporting processes and continuously develop the corresponding instruments and evaluations, including in Power BI. As a service-oriented contact person, you work closely with the other teams of the Finance & Services department as well as the scientific institutes and centers. You represent the department in internal and external committees and, together with your team, create reliable financial decision-making bases. We are looking for an experienced leadership personality with sound training in finance and accounting as well as further training in accounting, controlling or project management. You bring several years of experience in a leading finance function and are very familiar with ABACUS or a comparable ERP system. You communicate clearly and appropriately for the target group, work in a structured and reliable manner, and maintain an overview even in demanding situations.
