As a network, the team works together to constantly improve production costs, strives for the timely delivery of high-quality instruments, and thus enables Roche to bring innovative and differentiated instruments to the market. With multiple locations and areas of expertise, employees in this network have many paths open to optimally explore the world of diagnostics.
The Production Engineering department includes over 100 talented engineers and technicians at four different locations in Europe, China and the USA. As a service department, the main focus is on the proactive design, optimization and maintenance of production processes and product designs for the GIN network. The department strives to stay at the forefront of technology and industry trends and to use its expertise to achieve operational excellence.
The global Production Engineering team is part of the global Engineering Chapter and is responsible for cost-effective, reliable and lean Change Control Management (ECR). The area of responsibility primarily includes product maintenance topics for established products and the introduction of new products from the pilot phase to commercial production. The sub-chapter contributes technical expertise to carry out successful material, system, process and product changes.
The perfect candidate is a goal-oriented, senior team player with high quality standards. He/she possesses completed technical training (FH/state-certified technician) in engineering and automation technology. Required is experience in project transfer to production, design of production lines, material management as well as coordination, assembly and repair of breadboards/functional models of complex mechatronic systems in a GMP environment (preferably regulated medical devices). Proven experience in complex process coordination, change and stakeholder management with a service and "we can do it" mentality for active structural improvement are required. Strong team and communication skills as well as very good German and English skills in speaking and writing are essential for international cooperation in the matrix organization (ION Network: DE, CH, USA).

Must-Haves ###
• Completed technical training with a higher education entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife) as well as further training as a state-certified technician in the field of engineering and automation technology
• Initial experience in the area of assembly, testing, complaint processing and repair handling of medical diagnostic devices. Practical experience in device assembly and/or as a skilled worker in electronics or as a technical expert is an advantage
