Head of HR Consulting

Start of position: Immediately or by arrangement Work location: Bern Shape the future of HR with us in the Sicherheitsdirektion des Kantons Bern (SID). Since the centralization in March 2025, we have been pooling our strengths: around 30 employees in HR consulting, the HR service center, and the HR expert network are further developing our services in a networked, professional, and consistently customer-oriented manner. The transformation is underway -- now we need you. As Head of HR Consulting, you will lead a team of 13 HR consultants in decentralized structures. You will create orientation, strengthen cooperation, and ensure convincing consulting quality. In the HR SID leadership team, you will contribute your perspective and actively help shape the further development of our HR division -- with direct influence and scope for design. The Sicherheitsdirektion (SID) of the Kanton Bern ensures protection and security in the canton every day with around 4'500 employees and undertakes diverse, responsible tasks in the service of the public. The Generalsekretariat (GS) is the hub between the specialized offices, the Kantonspolizei Bern, and the Sicherheitsdirektor. It serves as the staff body for the political and operational leadership support of the Sicherheitsdirektor. In the Dienstleistungszentrum Ressourcen of the GS, around 90 employees in the areas of Finance/Controlling, HR, and ICT provide services for the benefit of the offices and the Direktion.
