Team Leader AI Service Platform 80 - 100% # Das Amt für Informatik (AFI) is the IT competence center of the Canton of Zürich. It provides comprehensive services in the area of central IT infrastructure and canton-wide applications for the directorates, authorities, justice, and independent institutions. Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers great potential to effectively support the administration and to provide its services for the population and companies efficiently, securely, and in a target-oriented manner. At the same time, clear framework conditions, reliability, and a responsible handling of data, security, and ethical questions are required. In the Canton of Zürich, we therefore promote the secure, responsible, and value-adding use of AI. A central component is the AI Service Platform, on which, among other things, the AI basic services are operated. Are you ready to make the potential of AI usable in the Canton of Zürich and thereby drive the digital transformation of the Canton of Zürich? For this, we are looking for a leadership personality who will shape the construction and further development of the AI Service Platform and the associated AI solutions. Your tasks: ### • You will take over the technical and personnel leadership of the AI Services team and specifically develop its competencies, cooperation, and performance. • In doing so, you are responsible for the overarching orientation of the AI Service Platform and ensure that the offered services are aligned with the strategic goals and needs of the Canton. • Together with the relevant partners, you will design the operating model for the AI Service Platform with clear roles, responsibilities, decision paths, and processes. • In this function, you are responsible for the creation of binding standards for architecture, security, operation, and quality and their consistent implementation. • In cantonal committees, you represent and position the service organization as a reliable partner for directorates and offices. What you bring with you: ### • University degree in computer science or a comparable education at Master's level • Several years of leadership experience in complex technical, organizational, or politically sensitive environments. • You understand the essential opportunities, risks, and operational requirements of modern AI technologies and can professionally classify technical decisions. • Experience in AI governance, architecture, service management, or platform responsibility is a plus • You make sound decisions with impact and maintain an overview even in demanding situations • You communicate clearly, bindingly, and convincingly in German and English • You act independently, think strategically, proactively develop solution approaches, and implement them in a goal-oriented manner.
