Social Worker with Responsibility for Fundraising & Communication (60%)

With financial contributions, material services and targeted assistance, we help where support is urgently needed.  For our office, we are looking for a sociable, initiative and convincing personality who combines social work with fundraising and communication. To complement our team, we are looking for Social Worker with Responsibility for Fundraising & Communication (60%) ## Your tasks: • Review and processing of support requests (creating budgets according to SKOS, clarifying subsidiarity, conducting investigations, deciding on the scope and type of support) • Cooperation with consulting and social services • Receiving and triaging requests from clients  Fundraising and Communication (20%) • Building, maintaining and further developing a network of funding foundations and corporate partners • Developing and submitting funding requests in cooperation with management • Ensuring reporting, evidence and accounting to funding partners • Maintaining external communication (website and social media) • Supporting the creation of the annual report • (Co-)organizing and conducting communication campaigns and events Your profile • Training in social work or comparable qualification • Experience in fundraising and/or communication • Experience in handling social media, especially LinkedIn • Enjoyment in winning people over for social causes and building sustainable relationships • Existing network in Kanton Bern is an advantage or the ability to build stable relationships with relevant partners from business, media and civil society • Enjoyment in building and maintaining sustainable relationships with different stakeholder groups • Stylistically correct German as well as very good French language skills in word and writing • Independent, structured and initiative way of working • High social competence, empathy and discretion We offer • A meaningful activity with direct impact for people affected by poverty in Kanton Bern • A varied range of tasks at the interface of social work, fundraising and communication • A lot of personal responsibility and scope for design • The opportunity to actively contribute to the further development of a dynamic organization. • Flat hierarchies, a small committed team and direct contact with management • The opportunity to actively shape and further develop the fundraising and communication area • Flexible working hours and hybrid working after agreement • Fair compensation according to cantonal guidelines • 40-hour week with annual working hours • Workplace in the center of Bern Would you like to become part of our team?
