Dispatcher in Freight Goods Transport

This is what you can move. • You manage and monitor the shunting operations at the Limmattal shunting yard and are responsible for ensuring high quality. • As a dispatcher, you take the lead in freight management and, in consultation with the shift management and the central dispatch of SBB Cargo, coordinate the available resources. • You ensure the operational flow of information within the dispatch level, as well as to the colleagues from SBB Infrastruktur in the RB Limmattal. In addition, you coordinate with shunting yards, cargo teams throughout Switzerland, and the headquarters of SBB Cargo. • If required, you inform the production planning partners, the partner railways, and the infrastructure companies. This is what you bring with you. • Precision is one of your strengths and a proactive and independent way of working characterizes you. • You show readiness and enjoyment in working in 24-hour shift service. • A completed commercial or adequate vocational training characterizes you. • You already work in a dispatch or a control center and bring a strong understanding of operational safety. • Good IT user skills and the readiness to learn the SBB internal programs. • You communicate very well in German, both spoken and written (min. C1).
