Liaison Librarian UB Naturwissenschaften The University Library (UB) Zürich, together with the Zentralbibliothek Zürich (ZB), supports studies, research, and teaching at the Universität Zürich with a wide range of scientific literature, digital resources, and advisory services. It is also accessible to the public. The UB is divided into six subject areas. The Naturwissenschaften area provides scientific information to the Mathematisch\-naturwissenschaftliche Fakultät, the Vetsuisse\-Fakultät, and the Institut für Informatik, as well as interested professionals, and comprises four library locations. It offers a diverse and innovative range of courses, teaching sessions, and advisory services, as well as attractive learning and working spaces on the Campus Irchel, in the Botanischen Garten der Universität Zürich, and at the Tierspital. Liaison Librarian UB Naturwissenschaften Tasks In a self-organized team together with other Liaison Librarians (LL) of the Naturwissenschaften area: Conception, implementation, and further development of courses and teaching sessions on topics such as handling scientific information, research with artificial intelligence, publishing, or research data management Advising students, researchers, and employees on subject-specific inquiries and research Networking with researchers and lecturers, as well as with the Liaison Librarians from the other areas of the UB and ZB Participation in the strategic further development of the LL service offering at the UB and ZB Subject expertise in the selection of information resources, especially the licensing of electronic media Profile Completed university degree in STEM, preferably mathematics and/or computer science Ability for interdisciplinary thinking Research, publication, and possibly teaching experience, PhD an advantage Enjoyment of advising and teaching Efficient and independent working style in a self-organized team Willingness to perform, high customer orientation, team and communication skills Openness towards flexible forms of work and towards innovations in scientific librarianship Very good German and English skills in speaking and writing We offer Our employees benefit from diverse and attractive offers.
