Job Description ## The optimal apprenticeship for young adults with a knack for animals and an interest in research! In this varied apprenticeship, you will engage in the following activities: • Care, maintenance, and breeding of laboratory animals including cage, food, and water changes as well as daily health monitoring • Organization and implementation of internal and external animal transports including checking delivery and hygiene documents • Collection of samples (blood, feces, urine, tissue) as well as performing applications as part of experiments • Ensuring the welfare of the animals in cooperation with animal welfare and veterinary services • Documentation of the laboratory animals, work performed, and any reports of illness according to animal welfare guidelines The training lasts 3 years and takes place mainly on the Hönggerberg campus of ETH as well as in a partner company at Irchel. Profile ## You are skilled in handling animals and have the necessary sensitivity in care and maintenance. In addition, you have good observational skills, are attentive, patient, reliable, and responsible. Furthermore, you are physically resilient and possess manual dexterity.
