The Stiftung Wohnschule Freienstein is a school home with a boarding-school-like character, recognized by the Canton of Zürich, the Federal Social Insurance Office, and the Federal Department of Justice. With us, 36 children and young people of school age (1st-9th grade) find a supportive environment when they are in challenging life situations. Around 50 employees from the fields of social pedagogy, school, administration, household, and agriculture work together to ensure a lively and appreciative everyday life. In the boarding school, 30 social pedagogues and group leaders accompany the children and young people in four residential groups - committed, empathetic, and throughout the year. We work in a solution- and resource-oriented manner, rely on the strengths and development opportunities of our young people, and maintain close cross-departmental cooperation. For our residential group, we are looking for from 1 September 2026 a: Social Pedagogue (female) or Social Pedagogue (male) (80%) ## Your task ### Eight to nine children and young people between the ages of 8 and 16 live in our residential groups - lively, curious, sometimes challenging, but always real. You... ### • accompany them as a reliable reference person through their everyday life • promote their independence, strengthen their resources, and provide support • bring structure, humor, and heart to the daily group life • work systemically, solution-oriented, and in close exchange with the school and parents • take responsibility for organizational topics and administrative tasks What you bring with you ### • A training in social pedagogy or FaBe recognized in Switzerland, or an equivalent qualification • Joy in working in residential everyday life with children and young people • An open, reflective attitude and desire to develop yourself and your environment • Readiness for shift work with on-call overnight stays • Resilience, communication strength, and a portion of humor - because it won't work here without it What awaits you ### • A careful introduction and personal accompaniment • An appreciative, motivated team that stands up for one another • Regular supervision and solution-oriented case consultation • Internal and external further training - we promote what moves you forward • Structured development meetings (MAG) as part of our culture • A workplace with meaning, nature, great colleagues, and real cohesion Sounds good?
