• 12 August 2026 • 100% • Indefinite duration • Monthey Apprenticeship as a polymechanic The apprenticeship takes place over 4 years and leads to the Federal Certificate of Capacity CFC. Theoretical training: Courses are provided at the Ecole Professionnelle Technique et des Métiers (EPTM) in Sion at a rate of one or two days per week. Practical training: The first 2 years of your apprenticeship will take place at the workshop-school of the Ecole Professionnelle Intercantonale de Chimie (EPIC) in Monthey. The last 2 years will take place within the company at CIMO, under the responsibility of a trainer. Inter-company courses (CIE) take place at the Ecole Professionnelle Technique et des Métiers (EPTM) in Sion. At the end of the first 2 years at the EPIC workshop-school where you will have become familiar with the basics of the trade, you will join one of the CIMO maintenance services. You will be required to overhaul production installations. You will be called upon to disassemble a pump, a valve, a compressor, to replace worn or defective parts and to perform reassembly. Your work will also consist of performing preventive maintenance in order to avoid an installation shutdown. After obtaining your CFC, you can consider the following further training: After a few years of practice and depending on your skills, you can access positions of responsibility such as team leader, sector leader, or department leader.
