Your commitment to security and freedom The Training Command (Kdo Ausb) is responsible for training within the Swiss Army - from recruitment through general basic training to officer training for the militia and the professional military. Kdo Ausb includes the Higher Officer Training, the Personnel of the Army, five training associations, the training center as well as the specialist office for Women in the Army and Diversity. One third of the approximately 2'350 employees are active in civilian professions in the scientific, technical, medical, psychological, administrative or sporting field and together with the professional military contribute to success. The Swiss Army employs over 9'000 employees in four military and around 200 civilian professions - and this at 110 locations throughout Switzerland. Provision is also made for the next generation: The Swiss Army trains apprentices in over 30 professions.
