Job Description ## In this newly created position, you will combine demanding project work with long-term responsibility for Financial Compliance. Initially, the focus is on the introduction of an organization-wide expense and travel tool - afterwards, you will take on a central role in the further development of the Financial Compliance of ETH Zürich. In the first 12 to 18 months, you will assume overall functional responsibility for the introduction of an organization-wide expense and travel tool. In doing so, you will analyze existing processes, develop standardized and future-proof target processes, define control and approval mechanisms, and manage cooperation with internal stakeholders from Finance, IT, HR, as well as the departments. You will contribute your expertise in the selection and introduction of the system solution, coordinate the implementation, and support rollout, training, as well as documentation. After the successful introduction of the tool, your focus will increasingly shift towards Financial Compliance. You will actively develop compliance topics in the finance area and contribute significantly to the operation and expansion of Financial Compliance. You will create and update finance-related guidelines and regulations, further develop training and awareness measures, and advise organizational units on finance-related compliance-relevant questions. Furthermore, you will conduct risk analyses and internal audits and ensure that regulatory requirements are translated into pragmatic and sustainable solutions. In this role, you will work independently, in a networked manner, and with high impact across organizational boundaries. In doing so, you live the ETH values of respectful cooperation, promote open dialogue with different stakeholders, and create trust and orientation through your technical expertise. Profile ## • University degree (FH/University) in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a comparable field of study • Several years of professional experience in Finance, Audit, Compliance, Risk Management, Finance Transformation or Internal Control Systems (IKS) • Demonstrable experience in the design and optimization of financial processes, particularly in the areas of expenses, procurement and accounting • Ideally experience in the introduction or transformation of finance and compliance systems • Experience in process and project management • High IT and system affinity • Excellent German skills as well as very good English skills • Ability to implement complex regulatory requirements in an understandable and practical manner • Strong analytical, conceptual and structured way of working • Convincing communication skills and confident appearance towards different stakeholders • High degree of independence, initiative and sense of responsibility • Diplomatic skill and enjoyment of cross-departmental cooperation • Experience in complex organizational structures, ideally in a university or public environment, is an advantage Why this position?
