We are currently seeking a Commodity Buyer to manage the sourcing strategy for a portfolio of metal components and develop long-term supplier partnerships within a global supply chain.

Description
Key Responsibilities
• Define and implement the sourcing strategy for the assigned commodity (metal components).
• Manage and develop an international supplier portfolio, ensuring competitiveness, quality and delivery performance.
• Lead supplier selection processes, RFQs, commercial negotiations and contract management.
• Drive cost reduction, value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Project teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions where required.
• Support new product development and industrialization projects from a procurement perspective.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks while ensuring business continuity.
Profile
Your Profile
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in strategic procurement of metal components.
• Previous experience purchasing categories such as castings, forgings, machined parts, fabricated metal components or similar.
• Experience gained within demanding industrial sectors such as aerospace, aviation, automotive, railway or other advanced manufacturing environments.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and supplier management.
• Fluent English is mandatory. Additional European languages are considered an asset.
