Kanton Schaffhausen, Steuerverwaltung The Kantonalen Steuerverwaltung is responsible for the enforcement of cantonal tax legislation, the partial collection of state and municipal taxes, the collection of direct federal tax, and the refund of the Verrechnungssteuer. It supervises and provides technical support to the municipal tax administrations. Due to the retirement of the current position holder, we are looking for, immediately or by arrangement: Jurist in the legal department of the Kantonalen Steuerverwaltung (m/f), 80–100% What awaits you • Independent making of or participation in decisions in various proceedings (supplementary and criminal taxes, objections, tax remissions, tax exemptions) • Preparation of consultations in appeal proceedings • Advising the head as well as the departments of the Kantonalen Steuerverwaltung on tax law issues and providing oral and written information to other official bodies and to taxpayers • Preparation of statements on political motions and participation in legislation and the determination of practice • Administrative work within the area of responsibility What you bring with you • Completed law studies (lic. iur. or Master) as well as several years of legal professional experience • Practical experience in tax law is an advantage • Analytical thinking skills, negotiation skills, and enjoyment of internal and external customer contact, in order to move confidently in the tension between taxpayers and the state • High communication skills as well as natural assertiveness and enjoyment of tax law characterize you and are indispensable • Enjoyment or interest in legislative work We offer you • An exciting, varied activity. • Progressive working time models, opportunities for further development and well-developed social benefits according to cantonal personnel law. • A good working atmosphere in a motivated team and fair salary design within the framework of cantonal regulations.
