Study Nurse

The Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology of the University Children's Hospital is part of the University Comprehensive Cancer Center Inselspital. In the Center for Pediatric and Adolescent Oncology, patients with the entire spectrum of hematological and oncological diseases, including autologous stem cell transplantation, are treated. Numerous innovative and internationally recognized research projects are running in the department, which aim to improve the diagnostics, treatment, and long-term prognosis for children and adolescents with cancer. As a Study Nurse in pediatric oncology, you will work closely with the team of nursing, APN, and physicians at the pulse of patient care to ensure optimal treatment of patients and to sustainably improve chances of cure. What to expect 30%: • Coordination and supervision of researcher-initiated clinical studies (Sponsor: Schweizerische Pädiatrische Onkologie Gruppe (SPOG)) and the pharmaceutical industry, as well as various registries in the field of pediatric hematology and oncology (HONK) • Structured and careful recording, processing, and documentation of study data according to applicable regulatory requirements and quality standards • Close cooperation and coordination of study-related communication with principal investigators, sponsors, Clinical Research Coordinators/Study Nurses, as well as laboratories and other partners at national and international levels • Planning, organization, and implementation of study-related patient visits in close cooperation with the interdisciplinary treatment team • Assumption of diverse clinical support tasks to ensure structured and efficient patient care • Preparation, participation, and follow-up of monitorings, audits, and inspections • Maintenance and administration of study-relevant documents (e.g., Investigator Site File, Delegation Log, Training Log) • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., SOPs, SAE reports) • Active participation in the continuous optimization of workflows and processes within clinical research 20%: • Recruitment and supervision of study participants and their relatives for the successful implementation of the Swiss 2024 Fever Monitoring study • Management and checking of study data (incl. vital data, CRFs and REDCap) to ensure high data quality as well as support for monitorings and audits <br /> What you bring <br /> • Completed training as a registered nurse HF/FH or a comparable medical education • Careful, structured, and independent way of working with high initiative and sense of responsibility • Flair for administrative tasks, enjoyment of interdisciplinary communication and teamwork • Business fluent German skills as well as good English skills for the creation, processing, and documentation of study-relevant documents • Good IT user skills • Experience in conducting clinical studies as well as knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) is an advantage • Nursing experience in pediatrics or knowledge in the field of oncology is desirable <br /> Our offer <br /> • Structured induction • A varied and responsible activity with diverse areas of responsibility from which patients directly benefit • A dedicated team that values open communication, mutual support, and pleasant cooperation • Regular working hours • Opportunity for professional and personal further education <br /> Questions about the position?
