For the new city-wide organizational unit of school social work, which has existed since August 2023 and is part of the Child and Youth Welfare specialist department of the Social Services and organizationally assigned to the Sozialzentrum Albisriederhaus, we are looking for a committed personality for the Schulkreis Letzi, immediately or by arrangement. Team Leader* School Social Work ## 80-85 % Tasks • You lead a team of around 14 school social workers in terms of personnel and professional matters and ensure presence time at the schools during the 39 school weeks. • You are responsible for the operational implementation of the service catalog at the school locations and accompany your employees in complex cases of child welfare endangerment or in crisis interventions in the classes. • You maintain close cooperation with the school managements as well as the Kreisschulbehörde in your supervised area and support your team in clarifying roles and interfaces in everyday school life. • You manage the case and workload within your team and ensure that documentation in the specialist system complies with the standards of the Social Services. • You participate in the school social work leadership team in the further development of city-wide professional standards and take over the leadership of thematic working groups, for example on prevention programs or intervention methods. • You actively network with the specialists of the five social centers as well as other specialist offices of child and youth welfare to ensure a seamless support chain for children and adolescents. • You moderate team meetings as well as case discussions and promote the professional expertise and reflection skills of your employees through regular coaching. Profile • A university degree or university of applied sciences degree in Social Work is mandatory • Several years of professional experience in child and youth welfare as well as sound practical knowledge in the field of school social work. Leadership experience is desired. Readiness to complete leadership training within the next two years • Pronounced competencies in crisis intervention and in-depth knowledge in child protection as well as in dealing with multi-professional actors in the school environment • Conceptual strength for the further development of city-wide professional standards of the Social Services and enjoyment of moderating case discussions • High social competence with a mediating communication style, negotiating skills towards school managements and a resilient personality • Proficient German language skills in speaking and writing for professional documentation and the preparation of reports for the specialist offices We offer An exciting management position with opportunities to help shape the largest social service in Switzerland.
