System Administrator AIX (f/m/d)

The AIX team is responsible for the holistic operation and further development of the IBM Power AIX infrastructure at the OS level throughout the entire lifecycle. Due to a succession arrangement, we are looking for a committed personality as an AIX System Administrator (f/m/d) effective immediately or by agreement. Application questions instead of a cover letter Share What awaits you? ## • End-to-end responsibility for the IBM Power AIX system landscape throughout the entire lifecycle (planning, construction, operation and further development) • Engineering, operation and continuous further development of AIX systems on IBM Power platforms • Automation and standardization of the AIX environment using Puppet, Ansible and Shell-Scripting • Planning, implementation and optimization of patch, update and release management • Implementation and further development of security and compliance-relevant OS topics (e.g. hardening, security fixes, requirements and standards) • Monitoring, analysis and optimization of the AIX system landscape including performance, capacity and stability analyses as well as implementation of tuning measures • On-call service (7×24 hrs) What do you bring with you? ## • Completed vocational training as an IT system technician or comparable practical experience • Several years of experience in the Unix environment (AIX and/or Linux) in productive enterprise environments • Good knowledge in automation and scripting (Puppet, Ansible, Shell) • Basic knowledge in security and compliance-relevant OS topics (hardening, security fixes, standards) • Technically savvy mindset, independent way of working and high quality awareness • Business fluent German skills as well as English skills for using technical documentation • Readiness to participate in the on-call service after appropriate training
