With our vehicle fleet, we carry out goods transport, distribution transport, construction transport, heavy transport, and special transport. Our fleet includes semi-trailer trucks and articulated vehicles for the transport of food, tippers, concrete mixers and concrete pumps for construction material transport, as well as special vehicles for the transport of construction machinery, construction elements, and oversized installations. Our versatile company has more than 25 employees and is managed bilingually. For the full-time position as a truck driver, we are looking for a person with the necessary skills, work experience, and commitment to competently, reliably, and safely carry out goods transport with articulated vehicles and other transport tasks. Tasks Types of transport • Goods transport: The main task consists of transporting chilled goods and hard goods with semi-trailer trucks and articulated vehicles, including distribution transport. In doing so, regulations and measures for the safe transport of food and other goods must be observed. • Construction transport: Occasionally, construction material transport with tipper vehicles and concrete mixers as well as tasks in other transport areas must be completed. Carrying out transports • Preparing transports: Carefully receiving orders and planning and preparing transports efficiently, safely, and sustainably according to specifications. • Driving vehicles and transporting goods safely: Driving vehicles safely and in strict compliance with laws and safety regulations for heavy goods vehicles. Loading and unloading goods properly and with safety in mind. Securing loads and ensuring the flawless functioning of the vehicle and cooling devices. • Delivery to customers: Delivering goods to our clientele in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner according to customer requirements. • Completing and documenting transports: Completing transports efficiently and creating the necessary documents according to specifications to ensure traceability. • Organizing work processes efficiently: Designing operational and personal workflows economically and in compliance with the law. Ensuring vehicle maintenance, safety, and environmental protection • Cleaning, inspection, and maintenance work on vehicles: Cleaning vehicles independently and regularly, routinely checking vehicle components, and performing minor maintenance work according to specifications to ensure the operational readiness and safety of the vehicles. • Ensuring occupational safety and health protection: Dutifully complying with the regulations for occupational and traffic safety as well as health protection at work. This particularly concerns the working and rest times for professional drivers (ARV 1). • Ensuring environmental protection: Implementing legal environmental protection regulations and disposing of materials in an environmentally friendly manner. Your profile Required experience • Several years of work experience as a truck driver. • Experience in the transport of food or other consumer goods. Required knowledge and skills • Good knowledge of the road transport industry, especially in goods transport • Technical understanding of relevant trucks, trailers, and transport processes • Good knowledge of the legal regulations for heavy goods vehicles. • Good German or French language skills. • Service orientation in dealing with customers. • Professional appearance and correct interaction with customers, supervisors, and colleagues. • Sense of duty, reliability, flexibility, and resilience in personal work organization. • Basic computer skills. • Willingness to long-term develop the operations of Aeby Transporte AG together with the management and our team.
