Role purpose
Serve as the central coordination and analytical point between Front Office, operational support teams, and IT functions to ensure seamless execution of business priorities. The role ensures operational readiness for new products and initiatives, drives process standardization, and actively contributes to the digital transformation of the Sales & Trading (S&T) landscape. In addition, the position acts as a key stakeholder in the ETRM landscape (with Endur as the core trading platform), ensuring that trade capture, valuation, risk, P&L, reporting, and downstream processes run reliably, consistently, and in compliance with internal controls and regulatory expectations. The role serves as the central point of accountability for S&T-wide coordination, reporting, and lifecycle governance, providing leadership across divisions and central functions to align ownership, standards, and priorities, and anchoring the development of a consistent operating and reporting framework across all divisions.
Key responsibilities
Manage S&T level EoD delivery Oversee end-of-day processing, validations, position/risk availability and P&L delivery from Endur and connected systems
Ensure data completeness, timeliness, and integrity across the full trade lifecycle
Coordinate issue resolution on day-to-day issues across key internal applications and teams for STS in collaboration with Trading and wholesales Divisional IT team. Act as escalation point for production incidents affecting trade capture, pricing curves, settlements-relevant data, risk reporting, and valuation topic.
Drive root-cause remediation rather than just workaround
Prioritize and manage STS NPA (new product approval) process Support the operational readiness assessment in Endur for STS related structure in collaboration with Trading and wholesales Divisional IT team.: trade capture model, risk representation, deal flow-through, booking controls, valuation models, settlement requirements, reporting impacts
Secure that Front Office can book and risk-manage new structures in a fully controlled and supportable way for STS related transaction
Represent S&T interests on prioritization forums Act as the voice of S&T users when changes are proposed (product changes, data model changes, interface changes, workflow automation)
Translate trading/business needs into structured IT demand with clear business justification and operational impact
Act as business owner or key stakeholder for core STS ETRM processes and data standards (CMDP/Riskdatamodel/ENDUR) Define and enforce golden-source logic (positions, curves, reference data, book hierarchy)
Ensure consistency of processes and controls across books, desks and regions
Sponsor and drive automation / straight-through processing initiatives in and around Endur for STS
Support and guide the change agenda Make sure enhancements in Endur and the wider S&T architecture actually land in operations (i.e. are adopted, documented, and supported)
7–10 years in energy trading, operations, or ETRM support Direct exposure to front-to-back trade lifecycle in power, gas, emissions, certificates, structured products, or similar
Strong understanding of trading products, deal lifecycle, and related processes Trade capture, validation, lifecycle events

Settlements / invoicing inputs
Hands-on experience with Endur Understanding of deal setup, portfolio / book structures, reference data, curves and market data setup, Endur workflows, and EoD batch / reporting chains
Ability to challenge both Front Office and IT
Proven experience bridging business and IT, ideally in a hybrid operations / BA role Able to translate trading asks into system change requirements
Able to translate system constraints back into commercial / risk language
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills Able to drive alignment between Front Office urgency and control / governance requirements
Familiarity with process improvement and digital transformation methodologies Comfort working with automation, workflow tooling, dashboarding, data quality / data lineage topics
Track record in standardizing, documenting, and scaling operational processes
